Population characteristics affect the structure and function of natural communities, and the relationship between species can reflect the stability of communities and the intensity of competition between populations, which is of great significance and value for understanding forest succession process and biodiversity conservation. This study based on Mt.Cenwanglaoshan evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest in one hectare details to diameter at breast height is greater than 1cm per wooden individual survey data, combined with advantages of tree species function character, using ecology statistical analysis method, the advantages of tree species of community structure and function character, spatial pattern, ecological niche and correlation analysis of various kinds of between the advantage species, the results are as follows:(1)Mt.Cenwanglaoshan mountain advantage of 13 species population structure and functional traits showed high consistency, characterized by recession in the population age structure partition typespecies, their leaf functional traits are greater than leaf area and smaller(substance content, leaf function, according to the characteristics of plant photosynthetic ability is strong, can quickly grow; However,in the age structure division of the population, the population with growth type and stable type mostly has smaller specific leaf area and larger leaf dry matter content. These species put more energy and material into their leaves to endure the adverse environment,so they can survive in the undergrowth and maintain the continuous growth of the population. We call these two types of dominant species as the declining species and the growing species respectively, and the two groups have different strategies of dominant species regeneration, and the dominant species in the community has a tendency of transition from the declining species to the growing species.(2)The spatial distribution pattern of the 13 dominant tree species was mainly aggregation distribution, while the populations of papaya and pipeidae were randomly distributed, both of which were large tree species.According to the spatial pattern analysis of the same dominant tree species at different diameter levels,it was found that with the increase of population size, dominant tree species had an obvious tendency of transition from aggregate distribution to random distribution.Based on this rule,it was helpful for us to predict the succession stage and future succession trend of forest community. In within the dominanttree species different ages tree species on spatial correlation analysis,we found that big tree populations of different age stages of individual much performance for the space between unrelated, type of young population type, the diameter of different edge species level are mostly show space correlation between individuals, and between the saplings and young trees spatial correlation is more significant, population overall regeneration ability is stronger.(3)According to the niche analysis of dominant species, the growing species showed higher niche widths on the whole, but the population niche widths of the silverwood species were also the lowest because they were too concentrated in the sample plots, indicating that the niche widths were closely related to the population distribution. There is an obvious positive correlation between niche similarity and niche overlap. The pairs of species with higher niche similarity usually have higher niche overlap value, and the pairs with higher niche overlap value mostly contain species with larger niche width value. In cen wang Lao mountain evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest community, the species with higher overall niche overlap value had a lower proportion of species, the competition for habitat resources among dominant species was not very fierce, and the community structure was relatively stable.(4)The results of the analysis of interspecific relationship showed that the community as a whole showed significant positiveassociation, the community was in the stable stage of succession, and the community as a whole was more closely related to the species and logarithm with significant association. In the study of interspecific correlation,it was also found that species pairs with significant positive(negative)correlation tended to have lower(high)niche overlap and niche similarity, indicating that interspecific competition for habitat resources was more intense.
