Triadica sebifera(Linnaeus)Small is an important autumn leaf species that has rich leaf color and high ornamental value. This paper used the Triadica sebifera clonal as the material to study the changes of pigment, soluble sugar content and related enzyme activities in leaves of Triadica sebifera leaves and their leaf color production by setting diferent light intensity and soil type,as well as soil water content. The impact and hope to provide a theoretical basis for improving the ornamental value of Triadica sebifera. The main research results had gained as follows:(1)The clones(Mall 16,Mall 17)with different leaf color expressions were used as test materials, and a total of 4 treatments were set up such as mountain red soil+full light, mountain red soil+50%shading,rice field soil+full light, rice field soil+50%shading.The results showed that the content of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a+b decreased significantly in different treatments, while anthocyanin increased significantly, and soluble sugar content increased first and then decreased.Soil type, light intensity, soil and light interaction effects showed significant or extremely significant effects on pigment and soluble sugar content at different times.Among them, the two strains under the red soil+total light treatment showed the best change in pigmentation, and the chlorophyll a+b decreased from 1.52,1.28 mg/g to 0.75,0.09 mg/g,and the anthocyanin content reached 60.21 and 6.38 U/g,respectively,higher than the paddy soil+50%shading 6.47 and 1.34 times. Therefore,in the process of autumn leaf color change, the black mullet was more conducive to the appearance of leaf color under the condition of full light and mountain red soil.(2)Water stress assumes that the soil water content was 80%(control),65%(mild stress),50%(moderate stress),and 35%(severe stress). The test results were as follows:During the reddening process of eucalyptus leaves, the chlorophyll content decreased gradually under different stresses, while anthocyanin increased significantly, carotenoid content increased first and then decreased. The soluble sugar content and PAL and POD activities fluctuated, and PAL was significantly positively correlated with anthocyanin(P<0.01).POD and chlorophyll were significantly negatively correlated(P<0.05).Both L*and b*values increased first and then decreased, while a*increased with leaf redness and was significantly positively correlated with anthocyanin(P<0.01).By the end of the experiment, the chlorophyll degradation and anthocyanin synthesis were the most under moderate and severe stress, and the PAL and POD activities were also the highest, which were significantly different from the control(P<0.05).However,anthocyanin accumulation under moderate stress was earlier,as well as the color change. The b*value was the same as the POD activity, which increased with the deepening of the stress level. At the end of the experiment,L*and a*were the highest under moderate stress, and the leaf color was brighter and brighter.Under severe stress, the b*value was the highest, and the number of ground diameters and primary branches were the smallest, the growth state was poor, the leaves were the earliest, and the viewing period was short. Therefore,in the process of autumn leaf color change, moderate and severe stress can promote the change of leaf color;however, the leaf color change under moderate stress would be earlier, the leaf color was more red and bright, and the viewing cycle was also more long.
