| ‘Ruiyang’ and ‘Ruixue’ were new late-maturing cultivars selected by the Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University.They had high development potential in the Loess Plateau region.In order to comprehensively understand its cultivation performance and suitable planting area in the Loess Plateau region of northern Shaanxi Province,this study was conducted in the main apple producing areas of northern Yan’an and southern Yulin.This experiment evaluated the botanical traits and cold resistance of ‘Ruiyang’ and‘Ruixue’.The study mainly obtained the following results:1.Compared with dwarf cultivation and arbor cultivation mode,under the same cultivation conditions,‘Ruiyang’s’ plant height,crown diameter,number of branches and new shoot growth were significantly higher than the control ‘Fuji’.The plant height,crown diameter,number of shoots and shoot growth of ’Ruixue’ were significantly lower than that of the control ‘Fuji’,and the short branch traits were more obvious.Based on the growth performance of various regions,it is suggested to develop dwarf cultivation and arbor cultivation mode ‘Ruiyang’ and ‘Ruixue’ in the hilly and gully regions of northern Shaanxi.2.In the different grafting methods of ‘Ruixue’ located in Mizhi County,the growth of spring shoots of ‘Ruixue’ grafted with branches at the higher position and the diameter of the annual branches were significantly higher than ‘Ruixue’ with the lower position.Its shoot growth potential is significantly higher than Ruixue’ that was grafted at a lower position.3.During the entire winter,the conductivity of ‘Ruiyang’ and ‘Ruixue’s ’annual branches was lower than that of the control ‘Fuji’ and the proline content was higher than ‘Fuji’ under the same cultivation conditions in the hilly and gully regions of northern Shaanxi.4.‘Ruiyang’ and ‘Ruixue’ were more resistant to sprout than Fuji.Comprehensive analysis of the different antifreeze treatments of ‘Ruiyang’ and ‘Ruixue’ during the wintering period,T3 and T4 had better treatment effects.The initial effect of ‘Ruixue’treated by T4 was more effective than that of T3.During the winter,the indicators changed more smoothly,which greatly reduced the harm caused by sprout. |
