| Yanbian yellow cattle is a already being reared for meat and using in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province,as one of the national protecting resource species and one of the five major local breeds of cattle in china.Yanbian yellow cattle is an important economic source for the locals because of the high quality meat.Bovine Chlamydia spp.,Toxoplasmosis gondii and Neosporosis are important diseases of animals and can cause huge economic loss to the animal industry.Chlamydia(Chlamydia spp.)is an important intracellular gram-negative microorganism between bacteria and virus.There are many types of Chlamydia,including cattle and sheep chlamydia,Chlamydia trachomatis,Chlamydia pneumonia and Chlamydia psittaci,which can lead to encephalitis,conjunctivitis and pneumonia in livestock and poultry.Toxoplasma gondii,a member of Toxoplasma,within the Toxoplasmatidae,mainly attacks many kinds of mammals and birds,including human beings.Toxoplasma gondii can cause people and pregnant domestic animal stillbirth,abortion,fetal malformation,mental retardation and other symptoms,which has been reported in various animals and humans.Neosporosis,a member of Neospora,within the Eucoccidiida,can infect a variety of domestic animals such as dogs,cattle,sheep,horses,deer and so on.Cryptosporidiosis can cause cow miscarriage,stillbirth,and neonatal motor nervous system disorders.Bovine cryptosporidiosis has become one of the infectious diseases which seriously endanger the breeding industry of our country,and should be paid more attention to.In the first part of this study,the method of indirect hemagglutination test(IHA)was used to identify the prevalence of Chlamydia infection and T.gondii infection in poultry in three different regions of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province.It was demonstrated that 65(12.1%)out of 535 serum samples in Yanbian yellow cattle were Chlamydia seropositive.Antibodies against Chlamydia in different locations,gender,ages,farms,and paritis were not statistically different(P>0.05).33(6.2%)out of 535 serum samples in Yanbian yellow cattle were T.gondii seropositive.statistically significant differences were not observed between in different locations,gender,ages,farms,and parities in the logistic regression analysis(P>0.05).Second,the seroprevalence of antibodies to Neosporosis infection in Yanbian yellow cattle in three different regions of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province were examined by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The results showed that 27(5.0%)out of 535 serum samples in Yanbian yellow cattle were Neosporosis seropositive.Statistically significant differences were not observed between hepatitis E seroprevalence and statistically significant differences were not observed between in different locations,gender,ages,farms,and parities in the logistic regression analysis(P>0.05).In conclusion,this study investigated the seroprevalence of Chlamydia,T.gondii,Neosporosis in Yanbian yellow cattle in three different regions of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province.These results not only provide base-line information for the prevention and control of poultry of these infectious diseases in this region,but also set up an effective integrated control system in line with local conditions,which are contribute to the development of local livestock breeding industry. |
