The combustion tank is a kind of method of using biomass for smouldering to realize heating.In order to promote the application of the combustion pool in the south and solve the problem of heating in the cold region of the south in winter,the combustion pool smouldering platform was developed independently in this paper.In this study,firstly,by analyzing the mechanism of rice straw smoldering and combining with the physical characteristics of rice straw,a 600 560 300 mm combustion pit smoldering platform was developed independently.A smouldering experiment was conducted on rice straw in southern China to investigate the effects of different water content,length and size,and different air inlet locations on smouldering process characteristics of rice straw burning ponds.In this study,the effects of different water content,length size and different inlet positions on the flammability process characteristics of rice rod combustion pool were investigated by using the self-developed combustion pool smoldering platform with the size of 600x560x300 mm and the southern rice straw as fuel for the smoldering Combustion experiment.According to different gradients,the experiment was carried out by selecting five water content(10.0%,15.3%,19.4%,24.6% and 31.4%)from the natural water content.The results showed that : 1)The rice poles with different water content exhibit the overall form of smouldering propagation;2)With the increase of water content,the effect on the internal drying process of the rice straw is significant,and the drying rate is gradually reduced;The time for maintaining high temperatures above 300℃shows a tendency to rise first and then decrease with the increase in water content,of which the maximum water content is about 7Hour for 19.4%;3)The water content has less effect on the shrinkage rate,the highest temperature,the internal carbon oxidation process,and the weightlessness characteristics of rice poles;Different lengths of rice Poles(0-10 cm,15-25 cm,35-40cm)were selected for smouldering combustion experiments.The results showed that: 1)different heating rates occurred in different lengths of rice poles,and the length of rice poles with a length of30-40 cm warmed faster;2)Different length sizes have a greater impact on the time to maintain high temperature,of which rice poles with a length of 15-25 cm have the longest time to maintain high temperature above 300℃.The experiment was carried out by blocking the air intake in different positions with the experimental device.The Analysis obtained: 1)With the reduction of oxygen supply,the easier it is to ignite at the initial stage of Yin combustion,the lower intake is more adequate than the upper intake combustion;2)The overall smouldering time of the lower intake and 120 min longer than the upper intake;3)The influence of different inlet positions on the shrinkage rate,maximum temperature,internal carbon oxidation process and weightlessness characteristics of rice poles is not obvious.Finally,according to the experimental results and the actual situation of rural areas in the South,the main body of the combustion tank,the smoke exhaust system and the disposal mode of the combustion product are used as the design parameters,and the preliminary calculation method is put forward based on the actual situation in the South.The heat load of the heating room is determined first,then the fuel quality and the height of the combustion pool are determined,and the volume of the designed combustion pool is calculated.The size of exhaust outlet and air intake in the exhaust system is determined,and the preliminary design of exhaust gas treatment is proposed.Solve the local high temperature problem based on the heat cascade action;At the same time,the requirement of burning pool masonry and material selection are put forward.It lays the foundation for the construction of heating and burning pools in southern residential buildings,and also proposes new ideas for the use of biomass energy for heating in cold areas in the South..
