In the wake of development of information age,large anount of data starts to pile up.They imply many unknown information waiting for people to find.In these data,patent data is the most effective carrier of technical information,representing most of the latest technical information in the world.201 5 Chinese Patent Office accepted the patens more than 1 million 100 thousand applicants at home and abroad which are accounting for nearly 40%of the global total and more than the sum of the United States,Japan and South Korea.In 2016,the Forestry Bureau issued the "plan for speeding up the construction of forestry with intellectual property rights in the year of 2016",which highlights the flourishing development of patent application in forestry field.The paper selects the data of Chinese forestry patent database and uses the patent data of Chinese universities and research institutions as the data source to analyze the knowledge mapping.In this paper,the LDA topic model and TF-IDF method are used to predict the patent application hotspots of universities and research institutions and to analysis the changes of topic and also the emphasis of area.Except for topic model,the paper also analyzes the year,area,collaboration network of applicants and knowledge mapping of keywords.To the end of the paper,the development and function of forestry patent data management and analysis system are described.The result shows that the number of patent applications in the field of forestry in China has increased significantly since 2002,and the number of colleges and universities is 75%of the total number of patent application;According to the result of keyword analysis,hotspots are reflected in the wood processing,chemical processing,building decoration,food,etc.
