Phoebe bournei(Hemsl.)Yang commonly known as Nanmu,is a valuable hardwood tree species with straight form、wood texture dense and shaving smooth in timber of endemic to China.is one of tree species focus on promotion and development in Fujian.So far,artificial afforestation technology of Phoebe bournei is not perfect enough,especially the afforestation technology on bare mountain is not also completely breakthrough.Therefore,accelerate the construction of the base of timber forest for local precious tree species is very signality,also is main ways to address the growing demand for precious materials.In this study,conducted series tests from three levels of different seedling ages(one year old,two year old and tree year old),different mixed species(chinese fir,pine)and different tending methods(block tending,strip tending and overall tending).The test all used incomplete block design and three repeated.The main growing factors was investigated of afforestation survival rate,ground diameter,tree height and crown width.Data analysis use DPSv7.55 software.Used static afforestation cost method proceed comparative analysis of input-out and evaluated management effectput.The research conclusions are as following:(1)Perennial Phoebe bournei container seedlings for bare mountain afforestation can significantly improve the survival rate of afforestation,also ensure the normal growth of Phoebe bournei young tree.Afforestation survival rate of seedlings over 2 years old exceed 95%,the growth volume of ground diameter,tree height and crown width of seedlings over 2 years old is 15%higher than one year-old seedlings.(2)Adopt coniferous and broad-leaved mixed afforestation can promote the growth of Phoebe bournei,is effective afforestation model to cultivate precious timber tree species.The growth volume of ground diameter,tree height and crown width of 3 years old seedlings to Phoebe bournei and Pinus massoniana mixed forest increased by 21.8%、40.8%、39.1%than pure forest of Phoebe bournei,respectively.The growth volume of ground diameter,tree height and crown width of 3 years old seedlings to Phoebe bournei and Cunninghamia lanceolata mixed forest increased by 14.5%、28.6%、15.9%than pure forest of Phoebe bournei,respectively.(3)Adopt block tending and strip tending can not only save the cost of tending,and it is an effective means for improve the cultivation quality of Phoebe bournei timber forest.The growth volume of ground diameter,tree height and crown width of strip tending increased by 13.1%、35.2%、25.0%than overall tending,the growth volume of ground diameter,tree height and crown width of block tending increased by 7.2%、24.1%、16.7%than overall tending.(4)The model of prophase high input is suitable for cultivation of Phoebe bournei timber forest.The growth volume of Phoebe bournei is significantly positive correlation to seedling age,the seedling age older had strong growth advantage,the various growth index of seedlings 3 years old better than seedlings 1 years old.From the achievement of afforestation and cultivation considered,early input,early output,forest establishment quick results,the cost of afforestation and cultivation is significantly positive correlation to afforestation effects,relative to market value of Phoebe bournei,the investment return had high profits.
