Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza(HPAI)is a deadly infectious disease of poultry,which is caused by orthomyxoviridae and influenza virus type A influenza virus.Sick poultry extremely gloomy,cyanosis of crest,head and eyelid edema,nervous disorders and feet bleeding scales;waterfowl appeared obvious neurological symptoms,keratitis,and even blindness,diarrhea and other symptoms,often have suddenly death phenomenons.HPAI(Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza)was spreading worldw ide trend,the high infection and mortality rate resulting in huge losses in poultry industry,classified as C lass A infectious diseases of the OIE(World Organization for Animal Health,OIE),included in the list of Animal infectious diseases of internatio nal arms’ s Conventions.Newcastle disease(ND)is an acute and Highly contact infectious disease caused by the Newcastle disease virus.Newcastle disease has highly mortality and mainly appeared the process of acute sepsis,even if extensively vaccines have Inoculated for prevention,Newcastle disease is still one of the most important and most dangerous of poultry disease of our country,classed as C lass A highly infectious disease by the OIE.In recent years,scholars do numerous studies about the epidemiology and molecular biology of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease,but for Guangzhou,Guangdong Province,Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease’s literature is still lack of.Aim to grasp the antibody levels,supervision status and features of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease which happened in the past five years in Zengcheng district of Guangzhou,to provide evidence for the molecular level research of HPAIV and NDV,and to provided refere nce of the poultry disease’s prevention and control efforts in the region,serological research and analysis of the poultry Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease during the past five years in Zengcheng district of Guangzhou is researched in this study.In this study,12543 serum samples were collected from healthy poultry from Scale farms and decentralized households of 11 towns in Guangzhou Zengcheng District from March 2011 to December 2015,among them,7824 serum samples were used for H5 detection,6488 were chicken serum samples,300 were laying ducks serum samples,821 were meat ducks serum samples,96 were geese serum samples and 107 were pigeon serum samples,another 4719 serum samples were used for ND detection.The serum samples were tested for Hemagglutinin Inbitation(HI).The results showed that the qualified rate of H5 antibody was 80.19%,including 6274 serum samples which H5 subtype antibody potency≥4log2 and 809 serum samples which H5 subtype antibody potency<4log2.The qualified rate of chicken H5 antibody was 79.45%,ducks’ 88.22%,geese’s 94.79%,pigeons’ 28.04%.The lower H5 subtype antibody levels of pigeons exposed the risk of Avian Influenza infection.The qualified rate of ND antibody was 78.22%,including 3691 serum samples which ND subtype antibody potency≥5log2 and 570 serum samples which ND subtype antibody potency< 5log2.The overall antibody pass rate is more than 75% and the poultry on the region have a strong protective effect of N DV invasion.
