The objectives of the experiments were conducted were to examine the effects of dietary zearalenone(ZEA)on production and reproduction of Hainan Wenchang hens.A total of 200 hens with similar egg production, body weight, and health status at 30 weeks of age were randomly selected and divided into 5 groups, each group had 4 replicates and each replicate had 10 hens.Group A was control group(basic diets),Group B,C and D were test groups which of the diets were separately supplemented pure ZEA produced by Pribolab by the concentration gradient listed: 250μg/kg,500μg/kg,750μg/kg,750μg/kg,group E were specially supplemented the mycotoxin absorbent(HSCAS).During the 7 days of the pretest, all of the groups used the control diets. After that, all the groups were using the special diets separately listed above.During the experiment, recorded egg production rate and unqualified egg rate daily. At the last day of the experiment,3 eggs of each repeat were selected for detecting egg quality, and 3 hens of each repeat were chosen for counting the number of follicles and calculating follicular atresia rate.At the same time, the livers, anterior jejunum and serum were collected. The jejunum morphology, liver index and serum hormone were measured.9 days before the end of the experiment,80 eggs per group were selected for hatching in three batches to determine the hatchability. The last batch of hatched chicks was selected and the female offspring were fed to 30 days then weighted. After the chicken phase, eight birds per replicate were slaughtered and livers and jejunum were selected repeatedly to determine liver index and jejunal morphology. The results are as follows:(1)There was no significant difference in the egg production rate and unqualified egg rate of Wenchang female hens that adding 250μg/kg,500μg/kg,750μg/kg F-2 toxin and 0.1% mycotoxin adsorbent to high-dose toxin diets(P>0.05).The fertilization rate and hatching rate of eggs in the medium-dose toxin treatment group were lower than those in the control group and the high-dose + adsorbent treatment group(P=0.06).The fertilization rate, hatching rate, and breeder ratio in the other experimental groups were similar to those in the control group(P>0.05).Different doses of F-2 toxin had no significant effect on the serum E2,FSH,and LH concentrations of the hens.Compared to the 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment group, the adsorbent had a tendency to decrease the serum E2 concentration of the hens(P= 0.06).In group D with F-2 toxin of 750 μg/kg,the follicular atresia of breeder hens was significantly lower than that of low and middle dose groups(P<0.05),but it was not significantly different from the control group(P>0.05);Relative to 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment group, addition of adsorbent significantly increased the rate of follicular atresia in the breeder hens(P<0.05).(2)Different doses of F-2 toxin had no significant effect on egg yolk color,Hatfield unit, and egg shape index(P>0.05),but eggshell strength of 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment group was significant less than 250μg/kg,500μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment groups(P<0.05);and the eggshell thickness of 500μg/kg,750μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment groups was significantly lower than control group and low dose toxin treatment group(P<0.05).Compared to the 750μg/kg toxin treatment group, the addition of mycotoxin adsorbent had no significant effect on egg quality(P>0.05),but the eggshell strength of the adsorbent treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group and the low and medium dose toxin treatment groups(P< 0.05).(3)Adding sorbent to different doses of F-2 toxin and high-dose toxin diets had no significant effect on the liver index of the breeder hens(P>0.05).Compared to the 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment group, the sorbent treatment group had a liver index of the breeder hens in value(P>0.05).The addition of sorbent to different doses of F-2 toxin and high-dose toxin diets had no significant effect on the jejunum villus height, crypt depth, and villous height/crypt depth ratio of each group of hens(P>0.05).(4)Compared with the control group, different doses of F-2 toxin treatment groups had no significant effect on the body weight of the offspring of 30-day-old hens(P>0.05).Compared with the 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin treatment group, the addition of adsorbent significantly reduced the offspring weight(P<0.05).And the offspring of the adsorbent treatment group had a significantly lower body weight at 30 days than the control group, the medium and high dose F-2 toxin treatment group(P<0.05).(5)The addition of different doses of F-2 toxin in the diets of hens had no significant effect on liver index, kidney index, bursa index and spleen index of offspring(P>0.05);the treatment with 250 μg/kg F-2 toxin was significant Decreased cardiac index of 30-day-old chicks(P<0.05).Compared with 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin-treated group, addition of adsorbent significantly increased offspring kidney index(P<0.05)and decreased bursa index(P<0.05).The spleen index of chicks in the low-dose F-2 toxin treatment group was significantly lower than that in the middle-dose group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in jejunal villus height and villus height between treatment groups(P>0.05).The jejunum villus height/crypt depth of the progeny of the sorbent group was significantly lower than that of the control group and three different doses of the F-2 toxin treatment group(P<0.05).In summary The above results showed that adding 250 μg/kg,500 μg/kg,and 750 μg/kg F-2 toxin in the diet decreased eggshell strength and shell thickness. There was no significant effect on egg reproduction, hatchability, physiological status, and other important reproductive traits of Wenchang breeder hens, and there was no dose-effect relationship under this test condition.Aluminosilicate mycotoxin adsorbents also showed no significant effect in this research.
