| This study was conducted to investigate the effects of feeding different grain diet(corn,wheat and sorghum)on the rumen fermentation,rumen degradation rate,dietary nutrient digestibility and rumen enzyme activity in Jinnan cattle.Three Jinnan cattles were assigned to three different diets in a 3 x 3 Latin square experimental design.The results showed that ruminal pH,the concentration of lactic acid,acetic acid and propionic acid in rumen,and acetic acid to propionic acid ratio were affected by different grain diet significantly.The ruminal pH in corn and sorghum group was significantly higher than wheat group,the concentration of lactic acid in wheat group was significantly higher than sorghum group,the concentration of acetic acid in sorghum was significantly higher than corn and wheat group,the concentration of propionic acid in wheat group was significantly higher than corn and sorghum group,the acetic acid to propionic acid ratio in sorghum group was highest.The activities of Glycosidase in rumen were not affected by the different grain diet,but the difference of the activities of CMCase,Xylanase,Pectinase,and Amylase activitie was significant.CMCase activitie in corn and sorghum group was significantly higher than wheat group;Xylanase activitie in sorghum group was significantly higher than corn and wheat group;Pectinase activitie in wheat group was significantly higher than sorghum group;Amylase activitie in wheat group was significantly higher than corn and sorghum group;Protease activitie in corn group was significantly higher than sorghum group.Ruminal DM and CP degradability of soybean meal in sorghum group was significantly lower than corn and wheat group;Ruminal DM and NDF degradability of corn stover in wheat group was significantly lower than corn and sorghum group.Ruminal ADF degradability of corn stover in wheat group was significantly lower than sorghum group;Ruminal DM and strach degradability of grain in corn group was significantly higher than corn group,Corn group was significantly higher than sorghum group.The apparent digestibility of DM,OM,CP and EE were not affected by different grain diet.The apparent digestibility of ADF and NDF in corn or sorghum group was significantly higher than wheat group,the apparent digestibility of NFE corn or wheat group was significantly higher than sorghum group.The different grain diet did not affected the serum parameter of Glucose,Albumin,Cholesterol,Triglyceride in Jinnan cattle,but Total protein in wheat and sorghum group was significantly higher than corn group.In conclusion,different grain has rumen fermentation characteristics respectively.The differences of starch composition in grain induced ruminal VFA structure changed.The different grain but also has significant influence on the rumen degradation rate and enzyme activity.The research results provide a theoretical basis for the evaluation of nutritional value of cereal feed and Jinnan cattle farming. |
