| Generally,strawberry has white flower.The red-flowered strawberry is a new type produced by the cross of a white-colored cultivated pineapple strawberry(Fragaria×ananassa)and a red-colored marsh cinquefoil relatives(Potentilla palustis(L.)Scop.).The color of flower is an important ornamental character of the red-flowered strawberry.In this study,we used the red-flowered strawberry and its hybrids as the research material,mainly studied the ploidy identification and the rate of fruit-setting of the parents,the germination rate of hybrids and the measurement of the flower color.The details and results are as follows:1.The ploidy identification results of the ’Tokun’,’Akihime’,’Pink Panda’,’Pink Beauty’ and ’xiao Hong-ao’ are as follows:Tokun’ is 10x(2n=10x=70),’Akihime’ is 8x(2n=8x=56),’Pink Panda’ is 7x(2n=7x=49),’Pink Beauty ’is 8x(2n=8x=56),’ xiao Hong-ao ’ is 7x(2n=7x=49).The identification of the red-flowered strawberry can provide an evidence for the high ploidy breeding in flower color of hybrids.2.The results of the statistics and analysis in the rate of fruit-setting of the five parents(Tokun etc.)and the germination of the hybrids are as follows:the rate of fruit-setting in orthogonal red-flowered strawberry’ Small Red Coat ’ with white-flowered strawberry ’ Akihime ’ and ’ Tokun ’ is higher than its’ reciprocal cross;the above results is the same in the hybridization of the red-flowered strawberry of ’Pink Panda’,’Pink Beauty’ and ’xiao Hong-ao’;but the rate of germination in hybrids is different to the rate of fruit-setting.The study of fruit-setting in red-flowered strawberry shows that:when the lowly ploidy red-flowered strawberry was used as female parent,its’ rate of fruit-setting is higher than highly ploidy strawberry.However,the rate of hybrids in lowly ploidy female parents may not higher than the highly ploidy female patents because of the seeds itself.We can use the ploidy hybridization breeding to cultivate the highly ploidy red-flowered strawberry,and provide a theoretical reference basis for the breeding study in red-flowered strawberry.3.The research of ’Tokun’,’Akihime’,’Pink Panda’,’Pink Beauty’ and’Xiao Hong-ao’ shows that all hybrids have 4.2 hundred flowers,the figure for white-flowered hybrids is 84(20 percent of overall);the figure for light pink-flowered is 1.58 hundred(accounts 37.6 percent);the figure for pink-flowered is 1.18 hundred(accounts 28.1 percent);the figure for dark pink-flowered is 21(accounts 5 percent).The fresh petal colors of hybrids and parents were evaluated based on the visual color measurement,and Chroma Meter by the CIELAB system,and divided into white,light pink,pink,dark pink and red(five groups in total),the results show that:the L*value and a*value of five parents and its’ hybrids all show significant differences,the multiple comparison results demonstrate that the L*value of red-flower is the highest,the L*value of white-flower is the lowest,which shows that with the increase of brightness,red degree in the corresponding reduced;there is little difference between the trend of the C Chroma value and a*value,it demonstrates that the a*value is the key indicator of the flower color in red-flowered strawberry,we can use a*value to describe the group difference of the different flower color of the parents and its’ hybrids.There is no significant genetic regularity of dominance or recessiveness in the flower color inheritance of the filial generation.The shades of red flowers have a wide distribution,which means there may be polygene effect in the reciprocal cross offspring. |
