Unsaturated soil is often encountered in practical engineering.For unsaturated soil,the total suction is composed of matrix suction and permeability suction.The matric suction can be regarded as the water holding potential of the soil matrix,which is mainly affected by the soil structure and moisture content;the osmotic suction is mainly related to the solute in the water,which is caused by the solution in the soil,and mainly affected by the solution concentration.In addition,the study on the solidification of saline soil is also a hot issue.This paper mainly studies the following aspects for the coastal saline soil of Huanghua Port:1.Using "double circle" No.203 quantitative filter paper,the total suction,matrix suction and permeability suction of the saline soil in Huanghua Port were measured under the conditions of moisture content between 6-27% and salt content between 0-14%,and the corresponding soil water characteristic curve was given.The results show that when the water content is fixed,the salt content has a certain influence on the matrix suction of the sample,and has a great influence on the total suction.The increase of the total suction is mainly caused by the increase of the penetration suction.2.Taking the salt content as the independent variable,the change data of matrix suction and total suction with the salt content of the sample are fitted,and the change law of matrix suction and total suction with the salt content(mathematical relation)is obtained,and the relationship between the parameters in these relations and the initial mass moisture content is discussed.3.In order to obtain the soil water characteristic curve mathematical model suitable for the coastal saline soil of Huanghua port,this paper selects three kinds of common mathematical models in geotechnical engineering to fit the test data.Through comparison and analysis of fitting parameters,it is found that Gardner(1958)model has the best fitting effect,and on the basis of this formula,the influence of salt content on fitting parameters is considered.4.In this paper,the solidification test of the coastal saline soil in Huanghua port is studied.The unconfined compressive strength of the saline soil with different proportion and curing time is analyzed by using cement and gypsum as curing agent.The test results show that cement plays a leading role in the solidification process of saline soil.Taking the curing time as an independent variable,the change data of unconfined compressive strength of solidified saline soil with curing time are fitted,and the change rule of unconfined compressive strength of solidified saline soil with curing time(mathematical relation)is obtained,and the relationship between the parameters of these relations and different cement proportion under the same total proportion is discussed.
