Space-based optical surveillance system,which can rationally utilize the strong space-time coverage of satellites,is a solid barrier to guarding the security of the homeland and a crucial part of the future war and has received wide attention from various military powers.In the space-based optical monitoring system,the high-orbit part is used to capture the target while the low-orbit part is used to track and identify the targets.In order to realize the global continuous coverage,the constellation scale is large and the engineering application is difficult to achieve.However,due to the limited resources of satellites,continuous space-time coverage can not be achieved,and the classical tracking methods can not be applied under such constellation system..Based on the coverage analysis of a certain low-orbit limited scale constellation,the tracking coverage characteristics are obtained.Based on this,a tracking method adapted to the space-based optical monitoring system is proposed in this paper as follows:The application background of the space-based optical system is studied.The practical significance of constructing a limited scale medium-low-orbit satellite constellation and the technical means of the three-dimensional tracking of the constellation are introduced.At the same time,the commonly used constellation structure in space-based optical monitoring systems,the related theoretical knowledge of the coordinate system and the motion characteristics of the main objects observed by the system are also introduced.Experiments are carried out on a particular limited scale Walker constellation,and the coverage characteristics of limited scale constellations is analyzed.The variations of coverage duration,coverage duration and coverage conversion characteristics were summarized.In order to solve the problem of divergence of tracking objects in the limited scale low-orbit constellation system,laser ranging is introduced into the target tracking method under the limited scale constellation,and the tracking convergence is promoted by increasing the ranging information.The effectiveness of the target tracking method after the introduction of the ranging technique is experimentally verified,which solves the serious divergence problem of tracking objects under the limited scale constellation.The laser ranging is introduced into the optical monitoring system and a method of sparse super-resolution laser guided ranging way based on weight matching is proposed.This method reduces the effect of shot noise in sparse super-resolution by adding Fourier matching operators.A linear-particle based particle filter method of laser data extraction is proposed,which has strong adaptability to strong clutter and can accurately obtain ranging data in real-time under a certain number of particles.This paper,as an exploratory research on the tracking problem of limited scale constellation,solves the tracking problem faced by the space-based limited scale constellation,which makes the practical application of limited constellation more likely..
