The rapid development of tracked vehicle technologies has changed the corresponding tactical emphasis from firepower and armor to maneuverability and low-weight.The vibration of light tracked vehicle under high maneuverability could not be neglected and is becoming a significant program in the field of tracked vehicle technologies research and development.Regarding the overall vibration of the tracked vehicle,the track is in an important position which cannot be ignored.The vibration of the track affects the overall ride comfort and reliability of the vehicle,and it is the key factor which limits the development of high maneuverability of tracked vehicles.Therefore,the research on the vibration characteristics of the tracks has immensurable significance.This dissertation is based on the LMS Virtual.Lab Motion dynamic simulation platform.The establishment of multi-body dynamic simulation model of tracked vehicle driving system is finished.The principle of harmonic superposition is utilized to establish the pavement models of corresponding levels and simplify the complete vehicle model into semi-vehicle model to reduce the calculation time in simulation.Simulations and validating tests of the established virtual prototype of the track vehicle are conducted.Relative displacements between each road wheel and vehicle body under different velocities and pavement conditions are obtained through complete vehicle bench tests on simulated pavements.The acquired data indicate remarkable consistency between simulations and test results,which verifies the accuracy of the model.Meanwhile,the self-validation of the model is conducted by static balance validation,alighting validation and obstacle negotiation validation of the model,which verifies the rationality of the model.Simulation analysis of dynamic model based on tracked vehicle driving system are conducted.According to the simulation results which tracked vehicle straight driving under different velocities,pre-tension of tracks and surface irregularity of pavements,the corresponding transverse vibration characteristics of the tracks are obtained.Orthogonal analysis method is utilized to determine the important order of each factor which affects the lateral vibration characteristics of the tracks.Research results show that the surface irregularity of pavements is the most significant factor,then pre-tension of tracks and driving velocities are the second and third important,respectively.Finally,influences of tracks for vehicle body vibration are discussed.Analyses for influences of tracks in terms of surface irregularity of pavements,buffering capability of suspension at the first road wheel and “traction” effect of the whole vehicle body are conducted,then an insight into the relationship between tracks and overall vibration of vehicle body is acquired.Research results indicate that the pitch of track plate is related to periodic excitation and this excitation will become inconspicuous when wavelength of pavement is longer than 2 times of the pitch of track plate.Due to the limit of buffering capability of suspension at the first road wheel,the possibility of increasing overall pitching vibration remains.The “traction” effect of the whole vehicle body caused by tracks is beneficial to dissipate the vibrating energy of the vehicle body.
