In the event of an earthquake that exceeds the operational baseline seismic OBE and the safe shutdown seismic SSE,the nuclear power plant's systems,equipment,and structures may be damaged,thereby affecting the safe operation of the nuclear power plant.In accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards,in order to cope with the potential risks posed by seismic events to the reactor,the nuclear power plant should be designed to take into account the automatic response under seismic conditions to ensure a reduced probability of reactor melting.The research content of this subject is based on the original seismic monitoring system of the M310 unit.The feasibility of adding the automatic shutdown system ASTS is discussed.The hardware architecture,network composition and software method for realizing this function are proposed to meet the the requirements of National Nuclear Security Administration.By comparing the requirements of relevant domestic and foreign laws and industry standards,as well as the engineering practice of the existing ASTS,based on the M310 discrete digital control system DCS platform,using engineering theory through the four steps of demand analysis,requirements analysis,system design and design verification,the seismic monitoring system KIS has been improved and extended from the hardware design and software implementation.A method for realizing the ASTS is studied and designed.After the addition of the ASTS system,nuclear power plants can achieve automatic shutdown under extreme earthquake conditions,without the need for operator's intervention,shortening the time interval between incidents and human intervention.Improving the adaptability and inherent safety of nuclear power plants under extreme earthquake conditions,and can reduce the reactor stacking probability to a certain extent,which has high theoretical significance and application value.
