Meshless method avoids grid or mesh generation by using completely discrete points instead of mesh for interpolation calculation, which is a new algorithm in current scientific and engineering. The research status of the reinforced concrete column-steel composite frame structure, the theory of progressive collapse and the meshless method are respectively presented. The application of the local raidial basis function collocation method(LRBFCM)in the solid mechanics elastoplastic theory calculation is studied, including the code implementation, validation and then the influence factors. Then this paper analyzes resitance to progressive collapse of the reinforced concrete column-steel composite structure joint by local radial basis function collocation method. Finally, the mechanical response of different concrete column-steel beam composite structure joint is specific analyzed, the performance of progressive collapse is evaluated based on relevant specifications. The code program is modular, being easily transformed and modified, embodying the characteristics of the local radial basis function meshless collocation method to calculate solid mechanics problems. The reserch has great significance to prompte the development to deal with problems in elastoplastic mechanics. The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)The development history and research status of the concrete column-steel beam composite structure, the theory of progressive collapse as well as the meshless method are briefly introduced. The main joint forms and the general numerical simulation method of progressive collapse are analyzed. The numerical formulation of the LRBFCM in the progressive collapse analysis of concrete column-steel beam composite structure joints are described in details.(2)According to the theory of equivalent shear modulus, the full amount method elastic-plastic numerical model is established.Comparing the simple elastoplastic problems in practical engineering by the finite element results, the developed theoretical and numerical models of the LRBFCM are verified. We further discuss about the stability of the developed models;(3)The two-dimensional through-beam and through-column concrete column-steel beam structure joints are studied by using our developed method; The joint's weak area should be identified by studying of force mechanism; The progressive collapse resistence are evaluated base on relevant design specifications. On the above works, some suggestions for the structure designed to resistant the progressive collapse of concrete column-steel beam joint are presented.
