Energy Security Assessment And Energy Cooperation In Northeast Asia Countries

Energy is the basic material of people's production and life,then energy security comes to be an essential security issue.And the effective guarantee of energy consumption is absolutely vital for the Social stability and economic development in a region.Countries in Northeast Asia have different energy endowments;such as Russia,the major exporter.China,Japan and Korea,the major customer and importer.These areas hold the fastest-growing of economies and energy demand in the world,then energy shortage has become a common problem in Northeast Asia.What's more,with the highlighting of environmental problems of energy consumption,energy security has become the focus problem of Northeast Asia.In this context,the paper analyzes the utilization and security situation of Northeast Asia,based on which,it constructs the energy security evaluation index system from three dimensions of energy supply,energy consumption security and the effective guarantee of social political economy by integrating the definition of energy security and considering the energy situation and social-economic development of Northeast Asian.It also evaluates energy security by combining subjective and objective empowerment.As a resolution,the situation of energy security in northeast Asian is more volatile,for example,energy security of China presents a rising trend and Japanese shows a trend of increasing and then decreasing while Korean and Russian presents a trend of descending and then rising.The influences of energy security has been obviously multicultural and it will be no longer affected by single supply and demand contradiction because environmental benefits and social factors are becoming more and more obvious.On the basis of defining energy security,this paper finally analyzes the possibility and necessity of energy cooperation in Northeast Asia and proposes corresponding proposals for energy cooperation.
