The Research Of Rural Construction Strategy Based On Architect Intervention

Rural construction has a history of more than a hundred years in China.In the new historical period,the Party Central Committee issued a major strategic measure which is Socialism new rural construction to solve the problems of three rural issues(agriculture,rural areas and farmers)in 2005.In recent years,local government,enterprises and architects have poured into the new rural construction boom,so much progress has been made during this period as well as some negative problems.It has been focused on the two aspects: Mechanism of rural construction and Intervention design of architects.First of all,the mechanism of rural construction in China(From top to bottom)has resulted that the farmers' rights could not be guaranteed.Rural construction has improved the rural living environment without solving the problem of villagers' production and living.The hollow village phenomenon is becoming more and more serious.Secondly,most architects are outsiders to the rural area.Rural construction with urban design method will lead to the single copies and losing the original features.Therefore,exploring the new model of rural construction,deeply studying the operation method of architects' intervention in rural construction and concluding that reasonable rural design strategy are the main contents of this paper.CR Hope village in China and Furukawa & Kaneyama in Japan have been selected as the key case studies in this paper.One is to explore the new model of rural construction which based on four aspects co-built(enterprise,government,residents and architects).The second is to find out the reference and inspiration for rural construction in China by studying the experience of rural construction in Japan.With field research,participants interview,residents questionnaire and survey feedback,author has obtained first-hand data of the selected case and put forward some ideas and thoughts about rural construction based on architect intervention.The thesis is divided into four parts:Chapter 1 summarizes the rural construction theory at home and abroad,explores the rural construction system in-between China and Japan and analyses the new model of rural construction in-between China and Japan nowadays.Chapter 2 makes the comparison with the operation method of rural construction based on architect intervention in-between China and Japan.Chapter 3 analyses rural construction strategy based on Japanese architects with the case study of Furukawa and Kaneyama,focusing on Village renewal,Dwelling house design,Public building design and Landscaping.Chapter 4 argues rural construction strategy based on Chinese architects with the case study of CR Hope town in China,which making a strategic conclusion with the residents' needs and the feedback of usage evaluation.
