Traditional design method of scoliosis orthosis has some disadvantages with low efficiency and gypsum materials waste,so the study of scoliosis orthosis digital design method has great significance.The goal of this paper is to build the digital design software of scoliosis orthosis.Firstly,the overall design idea of the digital design software is proposed.Secondly,the algorithm and the realization of the program of point cloud data processing and surface processing for the software are studied.Finally,using case analysis,the operability of the software is verified.This paper mainly studies the following aspects:1?Combined the traditional orthosis design method with point cloud processing and surface creation processing,the overall design idea and software architecture of scoliosis orthosis digital design software is proposed.And Combined with the correction principle of scoliosis orthosis,the software architecture is designed,and the meaning of each operation in the framework is illustrated.2?According to the correction principle of scoliosis orthosis,the operating principle and program realization of point cloud processing module are studied,including I/O,filtering,segmentation and merging,extraction,coordinate transform,re-sampling(up-sampling and down-sampling)and so on.Based on function algorithms of PCL,the I/O interface in the PCL is used to input and output point cloud data,and the radius discrete point deletion algorithm in the PCL is exploited to filter point cloud data,and the 3D voxel grid algorithm in the PCL is used to down-sample the point cloud data,which improves operation speed,and the high pass filtering algorithm in the PCL is used to segment the point cloud data,which can pick up the transformed point data conveniently,and the conditional filter algorithm in the PCL is exploited to extract the point cloud data,and the coordinate transformation algorithm in the PCL is exploited to transform the coordinate of point cloud data,which is exploited to load the correction pressure,and the moving least squares algorithm is used to up-sample orthosis point cloud data,which can fill the gap of point cloud data because of transformation.3?On the basis of the point cloud data processing,the operating principle of surface processing module are studied,including creating,smoothing and clipping of the initial orthosis surface model and so on.Based on function algorithms of VTK,the implicit surfaces creation algorithm is used to create surfaces with curvature-changing point cloud data,which generates the initial orthosis surface model.The window sinc function is used to smooth surfaces,which improves the orthosis surface quality.The spherical clipper and cylinder clipper algorithms in the VTK are used to clip orthosis surfaces to set orthosis extension space and open,which generates the final orthosis surfaces.4?According to the methods of point cloud and surface processing,the PCL and VTK are called by using the development platform of QT5.8.0 and VS2013,and the digital design software for scoliosis orthosis is developed.And with the case analysis and the software operation flow are displayed,the effectiveness and feasibility of this software are verified during the design process.In total,in the process of designing orthosis with digital design software,the orthosis principle of scoliosis is fully combined,and the positive model is not constructed,so the design work is completed by processing point cloud data directly on 3D level,and the design efficiency of scoliosis orthosis is improved.
