In the field of spaceborne remote sensing image processing,with the rapid development of spaceborne remote sensing technology,the remote sensing data are getting bigger and bigger.Due to the limitation of transmission technology,the development of communication bandwidth can not meet the requirement of image transmission.There is a huge contradiction between the increasingly large remote sensing image data and the limited transmission bandwidth.Therefore,it is very important to preprocess the original data on the spaceborne device,especially to study the image compression technology for the spaceborne application,reduce the image data size to promote the sustainable development of the space technology.When building a spaceborne high performance data processing system,it is necessary to consider the single event upset effect caused by cosmic ray irradiation.The reliability problem must be solved in order to make the system really apply to the actual space application scene.High performance COTS devices have significant advantages in performance,energy consumption and cost compared to radiation resistant devices,but lack the protection against cosmic ray irradiation and are therefore limited in practical applications.This paper studies the parallel and fault-tolerant technology base on the COTS multi-core DSP platform.While fully exploiting the computing power of multi-core DSP,studying the fault-tolerant technology in the form of software fault tolerance to solve the reliability problem,and finally strike a balance between reliability and computing performance.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to realize the parallel image compression system for spaceborne applications with fault tolerance.This work is divided into the following points:1.Introduced the hardware system platform overall system architecture,for the new high-performance multi-core DSP hardware architecture,research DSP multi-core boot technology.According to the actual needs of the subject,study the basic principles of JPEG2000 algorithm,parallel technology and fault-tolerant technology are.2.According to the hardware Features of multi-core DSP,a parallel image processing system based on multi-core DSP is designed and implemented.Based on the existing single-core DSP image processing system,Sequentially completethe architecture design,storage planning design and multi-task scheduling mechanism design of parallel image compression system,and the parallel image compression system is tested and verified by experiment.3.In the parallel image processing system,adding fault-tolerant mechanism to improve system reliability.This paper investigates the development status of software fault tolerance,especially kernel level redundancy fault tolerance,and designs aredundant fault tolerance model.And then adjust the parallel image processing system to join the redundant fault tolerance.Experimental results and analysis show that the parallel image processing system with fault-tolerant design has stronger stability and reliability.
