Carbon fiber reinforced composites(CFRP)have been widely used in the reinforcement of various reinforced concrete structures.In recent decades,the reinforced concrete structures have been damaged or even collapsed with different impact loads.Therefore,engineers must first consider the impact resistance of building structures subjected to various kinds of destructive loads in the current.As an important reinforcement material for the structure,carbon fiber reinforced composite material has its own impact resistance directly on the ability to resist impact load.The study of the dynamic response of the complex structure under the impact load and the impact resistance of the structure is still in the preliminary exploration.In this paper,the impact failure mechanism of the reinforced concrete columns strengthened with CFRP cloth under the impact load is studied by the self-made drop hammer test device,and the corresponding finite element model column is set up for the damaged column after the test,and then the axial pressure is applied to the simulation analysis.The contents of this paper are as follows:The design and production of the test are introduced in detail,it Includes the design and manufacture of the test specimen and test equipment.The components of the specimen include the concrete and the CFRP cloth,and The test equipment includes the loading device and the measuring device.In the case of different impact height,the drop hammer test was carried out on the concrete column and the plain concrete column wrapped with CFRP cloth by the self-made drop hammer test device made by the project group.We surveyed shock force history curve,the time history curve of the concrete surface and the CFRP surface,the time history curve of the support reaction.And the whole failure process of falling weight impact concrete column is photographed.The concrete columns and the concrete columns wrapped in CFRP cloth after the impact test are selected as the object of the finite element simulation analysis.The failure mechanism of the damaged column under axial compression is studied mainly through the fracturediagram of the damaged column,the load displacement curve of the column end and the curve of the deflection axial force.
