Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)is widely used in military and civil fields with the advantages of high efficiency,high reliability,simple structure,small size,light weight and so on.Typically,to get the signals of the speed and position of the motor,the mechanical sensor is applied.However,it has two drawbacks:the high cost and low stability.To deal with the problem,a sensorless control technology has been taken into consideration in recent years.In this paper,the sensorless control algorithm for PMSM based on the extended Kalman filter(EKF)is studied to estimate the rotor's speed and position.The main contributions are as following.(1)The mathematical model of the PMSM is established under the three different coordinate systems.By analysing the basic principles and comparing with several common strategies on vector control,the i_d=0 control method is selected.Meanwhile,the implementation on space voltage vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)technology is introduced and analyzed.(2)As an estimation method,EKF algorithm has been widely adopted in different areas.The model of EKF in different coordinate systems is established.Furthermore,considering the deficiencies existed in the traditional model of EKF,an improved EKF algorithm-adaptive fading extended Kalman filter algorithm(AFEKF)is proposed.(3)Based On the analysis above,the PMSM vector control system model and the PMSM sensorless control system model are established in MATLAB.The simulation results show that in estimating the speed and position of the rotor,the performance of AFEKF algorithm is more accurate than that of EKF algorithm.(4)The adopted software and hardware platform of the PMSM are investigated respectively.The hardware platform includes STM32F103C8T6 and the drive bridge circuit.With the u Vision5 IDE development environment,the C language is used to program algorithm.Based on this platform,the debugging of control system and some related experiments are completed.
