Reinforced soil segmental retaining wall as a common reinforced soil structure are widely used in civil engineering field.Because it has advantages of good performance and convenient for construction and economic applicable.The research of connection with wall panel and geogrid is few and far between.Therefore,we designed two groups SRW model test under static and dynamic load.We established the finite element model under static load by Plaxis finite element software.Finally,we compare the results of measured and numerical simulation systematically.The main content of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper has introduced SRW design method of NCMA(National Concrete Masonry Association).(2)Through two groups of different connection types of reinforced soil segmental retaining wall of indoor model test,we found its distribution rule of horizontal displacement,vertical settlement,the launch of geogrid strain and the the vertical acceleration.(3)Establishing two groups model by finite element software Plaxis.Simulating its distribution rule of stress and strain,compared with the measured values obtained by model test,the results show that Plaxis can accurately simulate the stress and strain clearer.In order to correct the inadequacy of two groups of retaining wall,we reuse the Plaxis software simulation of the two groups with the same parameter of different connection type modular panel reinforced soil retaining wall.Model test and numerical simulation results show that reinforced soil segmental retaining wall with a buffer zone is superior to the traditional reinforced soil segmental retaining wall on decrease the wall horizontal displacement and the wall vertical settlement when they under static load.When they under dynamic load,the reinforced soil segmental retaining wall with a buffer zone is packed by sandy soil,because of sandy soil has dilatancy and the retaining wall has lower compaction,its horizontal displacement and vertical settlement is bigger than traditional segmental reinforced soil retaining wall.
