Ram Air Turbine as an emergency power unit,in the case of all engines failure,it could convert air flow kinetic energy into mechanical energy,to ensure the smooth landing of the aircraft and avoid accidents,to protect the safety of life and property.Ram air turbine as an emergency power unit,in the protection of aircraft safety is of great significance.Based on the above background,the paper reference blade element momentum theory to complete the aerodynamic design of Ram Air Turbine,complete the analysis of the numerical simulation on the basis of design model,improve the Ram Air Turbine through the aerodynamic optimization.In this paper,25KW Ram Air Turbine as an aerodynamic design goal,summary domestic and foreign research status of Ram Air Turbine,and set up research route.First of all,to complete the aerodynamic design based on the theoretical basis and design method of wind turbine,determine the basic parameters,select the airfoil and analyze it.Wilson theory was applied,solve the function,define the objective function,constraint function,and then write the MATLAB program to solve the parameters of each cross section,and complete 3D entity modeling;Secondly,complete the numerical simulation analysis of Ram Air Turbine based on Fine/Turbo software,calculating the aerodynamic performances of different operating conditions through changing wind speed and angle of installation,drawing power output along with the change of wind speed curve,power output along with the change of angle of installation curve,analyzing the flow field at the same time in order to better understand flows and determine the optimization direction;Lastly,complete the aerodynamic optimization of Ram Air Turbine based on Fine/Design3D software,chord length and installation Angle as optimization variables,output power as the optimization goal,the optimal solution is obtained by genetic algorithm and neural network.Analysis the optimized Ram Air Turbine under different operating conditions,obtain optimize conclusion,to demonstrate the reliability of the optimization.
