The automotive industry grown up fast with the automotive market,OEM is able to increase production volume and product variant.The vehicle components suppliers have opportunity to gain new customer.For the OEM point of view,the cooperation with current supplier should be maintained,on other hand the new supplier will be bring in due to more and more competition.For the vehicle components supplier point of view,firstly the current customer increase the production volume and higher requirement,secondly the new customer have new requirements.For the both side should study and find an efficient way to manage vehicle components development project.In this condition that current customer product variant increase and new customers bring new requirement,the priority topic is to optimize the project management method to find an approach to operate company core competence more effective and flexible.There are some system have been widely used,for example VDA and TS16949,these system have specify and detail clause for automotive industry,but also base on general project management theory.So the study of vehicle components development project management should pay attention on both general theory and automotive industry special condition.This paper primarily base on study of a Beijing vehicle component supplier,This company belongs to the leading companies in the industry,management has a certain representation.The author study this company typical project management practice,and discus the preparation of ride work,summarize specify working guide line.This research provide a reference of the industry's other project management.
