With the development of science and technology,The exploration and research of the oceans are also deepening.Modern sonar technology undoubtedly provides advanced technical means for the understanding and development of marine resources.It not only achieves the target navigation and positioning,but also plays a decisive role in submarine landscape imaging.Side-scan sonar system,one of modern sonar systems,is commonly used for submarine landscape imaging,and the images reflect the geometry of the seafloor and the physical properties of seafloor sediments.It has now become an important tool of oceanographic exploration,and its high resolution,high image quality,intuitive imaging of the seabed and so on characteristics more and more used in marine mapping,seabed sediment exploration and marine engineering and other aspects.However,Due to the large number of real-time data,and a wide range of complex processing,in order to facilitate users to real-time device control and access to intuitive data display,to achieve friendly human-computer interaction,Design and implementation of side-scan sonar software is particularly necessary.Due to the side-scan sonar towing mode of operation,the detection process is disturbed by many uncertain factors such as tides and waves in the sea water,and the attitude of the equipment in the detection process is difficult to maintain stable.The spread of acoustical signal in the water is also affected by temperature,density,etc.The influence of the factors makes the sounding data of the side-scan sonar need to go through a series of more complicated treatments to truly and accurately reflect the topography of the seafloor.Therefore,the early side-scan sonar display system can only control the sonar device operation,as well as preliminary real-time data acquisition and storage capabilities.As for the intuitive submarine topography,only the sketch of the topography can be simply drawn by high-speed plotter or the sonar detection data can be post-processed to obtain the submarine topography of the exploration area.Therefore,the early side-scan sonar system has poor man-machine interaction ability and poor timeliness,so it is inconvenient to carry out on-site rapid response,which adds complexity and inconvenience to the exploration of seabed resources.With the rapid development of computers,the level of software and hardware technologyhas risen to a new level,and the real-time processing capability of sonar display and control system has also been significantly improved.Nowadays,the establishment of a friendly man-machine interactive platform and the realization of safe and reliable Sonar equipment control,the accurate acquisition and storage of real-time data,and the visualization of real-time detection data have become the evaluation standard and development direction of the new generation of side-scan sonar control system.According to the development of the side-scan sonar and the requirements of the display control system,the paper developed a more complete side-scan sonar display and control software.First of all,this thesis studies the composition and working principle of the side-scan sonar system.The side-scan sonar image is processed for the problem of side-scan image noise and radiation distortion.By analyzing the imaging mechanism of side-scan sonar The relevant image correction algorithms are derived and the geocoding of the side-scan soundmap is realized by the sea bottom line tracking technology and the position solution of the side-scan sonar.Finally,starting from the needs of users,the software design scheme was established,and the design and research of the display and control system was realized from three aspects: display layer,control layer and data layer.In the design and implementation of side-scan sonar control software process,the main techniques applied to are as follows: visual studio development environment,double-cache drawing technology,database development technology,serial communication of real-time data transmission,network communication and many kinds of information collection synchronization.The related algorithms are as follows:According to the geometric distortions in the side-scan sonar image,the corresponding slant range correction and speed correction are needed,and the height of dragging to the sea floor is needed in the image correction.Therefore,the more appropriate bottom tracking algorithm is the key basis for the more accurate image correction processing.When the pseudo-color image is displayed,it is necessary to carry out the color matching on the side-scan sonar image.In order to make the color image intuitively and stereoscopically display the underwater landscape,It is very important to set out reasonable correspondence between color and grayscale.The relevant data related to the side-scan sonar control software are: GPS,attitude angle,side-scan sonar echo data,which are measured in real time,The measurement equipment is not synchronized and the Ping rate may not be the same.Therefore,in order to make the acquired side-scan real-time data effective,it is necessary to synchronize the GPSinformation and attitude angle information with the received echo data;In order to know the absolute position of the scan point in the image,the image needs to be geocoded.rigorous position solution and coordinate conversion process play a key role in reducing the error of this link.The main functions of The display control software system are: data storage and playback,dynamic parameter settings,real-time information display,pseudo-color map display,sound map correction,geocoding and so on.The system verified the effectiveness of the display control software through the actual test and the playback of collected data.
