Based on development of internal gear worm drive and gear side clearance adjustment method on worm,a novel driving device,named beveloid internal gear enveloping external-rotor crown worm drive is proposed in this paper.That is applied for the realization of worm drive with adjustable backlash,small volume and light weight.It's the drive principle,error meshing theory,error meshing performance analysis,influence of error on the contact point of worm drive,worm error detection and so on are studied respectively.The main contents are as follows:The composition structure and working principle of beveloid internal gear enveloping external-rotor crown worm drive are described and assembly drawing are drawed.Based on differential geometry and space gear meshing theory,the mathematical model and meshing theory system of the beveloid internal gear enveloping crown worm drive are established under the effect of error.The engagement function,meshing equation,the tooth surface equation and so on are deduced.At the same time,the key calculation formulas induced curvature,lubrication angle and relative entrainment velocity of the derived under error are deduced.Taked the macro and micro meshing quality of the worm drive pair as the evaluation index,the influence of each error on contact line,induction curvature,sliding angle and relative entrainment velocity are analyzed using MATLAB software programming operations.Analysis of the impact of each error on worm drive of the mechanism.Influence of error contact points of beveloid internal gear enveloping crown worm drive are studied clearly.Using numerical calculation tools,the relevant procedures for the analysis of the contact displacement of the under-error worm drive were written.The influence of single factor and integrated error on the offset of the contact points of worm drive was analyzed.Based on the development of gear detection method,a method and evaluation standard for detecting the error based on beveloid internal gear enveloping crown worm tooth surface.The feasibility of this error detection method are verified by prototype test and the error source tracing theory are used to trace the source traceability of beveloid internal gear enveloping crown worm.
