Nanocrystalline,amorphous and other new magnetic materials have the characteristics of high saturated magnetic density,low high-frequency loss,which are widely used in various types of electrical equipment and electronic devices.In these power electronic devices,in order to improve the operation efficiency,it is necessary to reduce the loss of the magnetic element.It is necessary to study the various types of loss calculation models for the applicability of various materials under different working conditions.Sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(Grand No.51677064)and National key special projects(Grand No.2017YFB0903902).In order to fit and verify various loss calculation models,several common measurement methods and principles of magnetic material loss and static magnetic properties are summarized in this paper.The application scope and precision of each measurement method are analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages of each measurement method are obtained.Then,the loss separation method for calculating the loss of magnetic material under sinusoidal excitation is studied.For each loss component in the loss separation method,the determination method of hysteresis loss,three calculation models of eddy current losses(calculate eddy current losses based on the statistical theory of losses statistics,linear magnetization law,and step magnetization law)and three calculation models of residual losses(calculate residual losses based on the periodic magnetic domain structure,the random magnetic domain structure,and the complex magnetic domain structure)are analyzed in detail.Then,the total energy loss of the magnetic rings of nanocrystalline,amorphous and silicon steel at different magnetic flux density and different frequency was measured by the TD8120 soft magnetic AC test system.The hysteresis energy loss of three magnetic rings under different magnetic flux density was measured by the TD8220 soft magnetic DC test system.Comparing the measurement results with the calculation results of different eddy current loss calculation models,the applicable conditions of different eddy current loss calculation models are obtained.Similarly,the results of different residual loss calculation models are compared with the above-mentioned measured values to obtain applicable conditions for different residual loss calculation models.
