With the development of green economy and the concept of sustainable development,it would fail to meet the demand of contemporary society if we insist to evaluate products only from a single point of view.Therefore,this paper proposes a new life cycle sustainability assessment method for products based on the previous studies.The proposed approach can be used to predict the performance of the target products by comparing with the other similar products.As a result,the evaluation method mentioned in this paper can provide a significant value for manufacturing sectors.In this study,the research status of Environment-Life Cycle Assessment(E-LCA),Life Cycle Cost(LCC),Society-Life Cycle Assessment(S-LCA),and Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment(LCSA)are firstly introduced.Then,Choose one brand fuel vehicle and the other brand electric vehicle,the brand should be in the same area,Which are conducted to study the effective of the proposed method.Firstly,the vehicles are evaluated from the point of environment,and the selected environment factors are global warming,acidification,dust,toxic gas,and energy consumption.Then,the point of costs is considered,and the main object is to study the final cost consumption.Finally,the characteristics of two vehicles are further assessed from the society dimension.The findings of five stakeholders,including employees,local people,consumers,society and government,are applied to quantified the society values of the vehicles.The LCSA result of two vehicles can be further calculated by using the method of Topsis.
