M oil field is located in the central structural zone in the northeast of Muglad basin in Sudan. It is a heavy oil reservoir with strong bottom water and weak edge water. It was put into development in 2003.It is difficult to replenish energy effectively in weak edge water reservoir, such as high water cut in old wells, fast production decline, and bad effect of new wells and measures year by year.By investigating the distribution of residual oil at home and abroad and the influence factors of edge and bottom water on reservoir production, this paper uses fine reservoir description and reservoir engineering analysis method to accurately calculate the volume of edge and bottom water in oil field. The distribution of intercalation is determined by using BL equation combined with logging interpretation results, this paper aims at the strong bottom water characteristics of Bentiu reservoir in M oilfield.By using numerical simulation technology, the typical single well(horizontal well and vertical well)practical model is selected, and the concept model of single well is established on the basis of preserving structural characteristics and averaging, and the matching relationship and working system between well, intercalation and bottom water are studied. The influence of water avoidance height and well spacing on the development characteristics of bottom water reservoir. On the basis of reservoir numerical simulation technology, this paper makes clear the potential distribution of remaining oil in M oilfield, designs targeted countermeasures for tapping potential, and forms different development and adjustment schemes. The prediction and comparison of the development index of the scheme can provide powerful guidance for the formulation of the next development plan of M oilfield.
