As China's most important economic growth pole, the development of Beijing-TianjinHebei province has been closely watched. However,at the same time of rapid economic development,a series of ecological environment problems have emerged.Among them, severe overloading of the ecological environment is the biggest problem, has seriously restricted the process of sustainable development.Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei must first clarify its own ecological consumption and the ecological capacity, reasonably evaluate the gap between ecological resource demand and ecological system supply,to using quantitative ecological carrying capacity to support the fast development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei refion,to achieving sustainable development,to promoting the construction of ecological civilization. From the perspective of ecology, ecological footprint theory can objectively and quantitatively assess the ecological environment of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by studying the supply and demand situation of ecosystem. This paper uses improved three-dimensional ecological footprint model to measure2005-2014 dynamic changes of the ecological footprint of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and uses the partial least-squares regression to analysis the driving factors of the ecological footprint Results showed that: 1)From 2005 to 2014,the per capita 3d ecological footprint was on the rise, but the per capita ecological carrying capacity declined year by year,so Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had been in a state of ecological deficit for a decade;2)The per capita footprint size of the three places showed a trend of decreasing year by year, among them tianjin had the biggest drop, reaching 36.85%.The per capita footprint depth were between 2 and 5,and had been more than 1.This fact shows that Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had been in the stage of ecological deficit, relied solely on the flow capital appropriation already cannot meet its resource consumption demand, need to consume large amounts of capital stock to maintain its own development;3)In addition to the urban and rural residents engel's coefficient, both the demographic, economic and consumer drivers are positively correlated with ecological footprint, but due to the actual development is different, different drivers have different sizes But overall, the three major industries output value,GDP,per capita consumption expenditures of urban residents, energy consumption had a significant influence on the ecological footprint. So in order to control the growth ofthe ecological footprint, should focus on the adjustment of industrial structure, optimization of the energy structure as well as the change of residents' consumption structure in the future.
