China's Graphite Resource Demand Forecast And Industrial Development Analysis

Natural graphite is a non-renewable energy source and an indispensable mineral raw material in traditional fields and strategic high-tech fields.It has many excellent properties such as lubricity,high temperature resistance and electrical conductivity,and is widely used in refractory materials,aerospace,environmental protection,medical and other industries.Countries around the world are also paying more and more attention to graphite resources and listing graphite as a strategic emerging mineral resource.This paper starts with the supply and demand pattern of graphite resources in the world and China,and uses the sector analysis method to predict the future demand of graphite in China by analyzing the future development trend of refractory materials,new energy fields,new materials fields and other fields.On this basis,this paper focuses on the development status of China's six major graphite industry bases and large-scale graphite enterprises in each base,and studies the supply capacity of various types of graphite products in China.Combined with the demand forecast results,the current problems and future development directions of China's graphite industry are pointed out.The results show that China's natural graphite resources are abundant,but the added value of products is low.High-end graphite products need to be imported from developed countries,and low-cost graphite materials are exported.Through departmental analysis,the demand for natural graphite in China in 2020,2025 and 2030 is 695,000 tons,897,000 tons and 1.096 million tons respectively.In 2020,China's battery sector accounted for 18.9% of consumption,accounting for 47.4% in 2030,close to half of China's total graphite demand.Therefore,with the promotion of new energy vehicles,the main consumption area of natural graphite in the future is the battery negative electrode,and the proportion of refractory materials is gradually decreasing.Judging from the current development status of graphite enterprises in China,the technical level is increasingly advanced,the production cost is getting lower and lower,and the production process is gradually realizing the industrial chain.The development of low-end and mid-end graphite products is becoming more and more sophisticated and exported.The development of major enterprises has its own focus,and some enterprises focus on the preparation of graphene.In addition,China's current demand for flexible graphite is relatively large.In 2020,the demand is 111,000 tons,but the current production level is only about 10,000 tons,which cannot meet the needs of the country.There is a big gap and it can only be imported from abroad at a high price.In the future,China's graphite enterprises should vigorously cultivate advanced talents,research advanced preparation technologies,and strive to achieve mass production of high-end graphite products.
