At present,China's fossil resource has the characteristic of “rich coal,few oil and less gas”,hence the coal will remain the major consumed one in a long time.Air pollutions emitted from the combustion of loose coal are close to the ground and can't easily diffuse,which seriously harm the environment.Low-quality pulverized coal is the main source of loose coal.Switching low-quality pulverized coal into carbonized briquettes is an important technical method to transform it scientifically and properly.In this paper,influence of carbonization conditions on the performance of briquette was observed and the law of heat loss and volatile release during the carbonization of briquette was studied,using carbonized briquettes produced by Shanxi leading Heavy Machinery Equipment Co.,Ltd.as the main raw materials.The carbonization process was simulated and evaluated using Aspen Plus software;finally,the actual production process was studied and the material balance was carried out.The main results and conclusions obtained from the study are as follows.(1)carbonization conditions have different effects on carbonized coal's compressive strength,combustion characteristics and carbonization production rate.At the same final carbonization temperature,the compressive strength of carbonized briquette rises with the increase of carbonization time;At the same heat preservation time,the compressive strength of carbonized briquette increases with the rise of carbonation temperature.The carbonization production rate of carbonized coal also accords with the same rule.Knowing from the results of thermogravimetric analysis,with the increase of temperature and time,volatile in briquette continuously precipitates and reaches the maximum weightlessness rate at the temperature of 453?.At the final temperature of 750 ? and the heat preservation time of 15 mins,the performance of the products can reach the current standard of clean briquette.(2)Aspen Plus software is used to simulate the production process of carbonized briquette,and the result is consistent with the laboratory results.The simplified model of carbonized briquette preparation process was established using Aspen Plus software.The process of carbonization pyrolysis of briquette was simplified as CPD model.The simulation value of carbonization production rate was compared with the actual laboratory value and it was believed that the model was reliable.The results of the drying process,the change of carbonization production rate with the temperature and the change of briquette's carbon content with the temperature are analyzed.The results are in agreement with the experimental results in the laboratory,which is beneficial to the pyrolysis at 600 ? to 800?.It provides a reference for the optimization of pyrolytic carbonization briquette process.(3)After pyrolysis and carbonization project is completed,tar and gas from low-quality coal can be extracted.Effective utilization of resources of large quantities of low-quality coal is of great guiding significance.This project uses a low temperature briquette dry distillation technology in the vertical pyrolysis furnace,studying the core process flow and process parameters,analyzing the structure and characteristics of the core retorting furnace,carrying out the material balance and heat balance calculation for the retorting furnace,which provides reference for the adjustment process in the practical production.
