As a new generation of high altitude atmospheric sounding equipment,wind profiler radar has been widely used in China's meteorological operations.However,its data is prone to errors due to the influence of many practical factors.In order to put it into better use,it is necessary to explore effective data quality control schemes,improve data accuracy and verify the assimilation effect of data before and after quality control in the model forecast.This research firstly makes a precision assessment of the wind profiler radar data from seven stations in Beijing.It is found that the data of the southern suburb station is generally more accurate than the other stations,while the data deviation is a little bit large in some elevation levels.Therefore,focus on the quality control work for the data of the southern suburb station in June 2018,the effects of these two methods on different aspects are evaluated through the comparison before and after the quality control combined with the conventional sounding data.It is indicated that both the EOF analysis reconstruction method and the Gaussian filtering method have obvious effects in data quality control.And the former method is better in spatial scale,but in terms of time scale and data observation error reduction,the latter is better.Subsequently,based on a severe convective weather process in Beijing in July 2018,this study preliminarily explored the data characteristics of wind profile radar data in this weather process.It is found that the vertical shear of horizontal wind speed can clearly reflect the convective activity before and after precipitation,and the change of precipitation intensity and the occurrence time can be predicted qualitatively according to the maximum height that can be detected by radar at different times.Finally,the process of this severe convective weather was simulated.The control test and the assimilation test of multiple groups of wind profile radar data were set up to verify the impact of the assimilation of the original data and the data after quality control on the prediction.The results show that the assimilation of wind profile radar data has a certain improvement on the initial model field and forecast results,among which the data after the assimilation quality control has a more obvious improvement.From the results of all aspects,the data assimilated after quality control by gauss filter has a greater effect on the improvement of model prediction.
