The discovery of neutrino oscillations indicates that neutrinos are massive and mixed among different flavors. On the one hand, the seesaw mechanism can naturally produce the tiny neutrino masses by introducing super-heavy right-handed neutrinos and allowing for the lepton number violation. On the other hand, the fact that the neutrino mixing angles are close to some special values can be explained with the help of some special mixing patterns and the underlying flavor symmetries. The trimaximal(TM)mixing pattern,as a simple but interesting variant of the tribimaximal mixing pattern,is very popular because of its significant predictions for the neutrino mixing parameters. However,it lacks prediction power for the unknown Majorana CP phases and absolute neutrino masses. In order to acquire some knowledge about them, one has to invoke some additional conditions. This article chooses to impose one texture zero(the vanishing of some matrix elements)on the inverse matrix of the neutrino mass matrix that can lead to the TM mixing, thus establishing some correlations among the neutrino masses and mixing parameters. We study in some detail the various phenomenological consequences of this scenario,in particular the limits on the neutrino masses,Majorana CP phases and effective neutrino mass governing the neutrinoless double beta decays.
