Measurement Of Total Factor Productivity Of Transportation Industry In Shaanxi Province And Research On Its Influencing Factors

Transportation industry carries the flow of material and capital,and transports energy and nutrients for the development of regional economy.It not only brings the rapid development of its own economy,but also promotes the agglomeration and growth of regional economy.Therefore,it is of great significance to study its economic growth.China's economy has entered the "new normal" stage as a whole,and the development of the transportation industry should pay more attention to the economic quality rather than the economic growth rate.The 19 th national congress for the first time put forward the concept of improving total factor productivity.Raising total factor productivity is an effective way to change the mode of economic growth,optimize the quality of growth and promote sustainable development.Accurately measuring total factor productivity of transportation industry and analyzing its influencing factors are conducive to mastering the current situation and trend of economic growth of this industry and promoting the sustainable development of transportation industry in shaanxi province.This paper firstly reviews the domestic and foreign research status of total factor productivity and relevant theories and methods.Secondly,the Malmquist index was used to construct the total factor productivity(TFP)calculation model of the transportation industry,and the change of TFP of the transportation industry in Shaanxi province from 2006 to 2017 was dynamically analyzed.The total factor productivity of transportation industry in Shaanxi province is at a low level,showing a declining trend as a whole,and there is much room for improvement.The total factors of transportation industry vary greatly in different cities of shaanxi province,with different annual changes.However,there is no obvious difference between the three regions,and the development trend of northern Shaanxi and southern shaanxi is more similar.Finally,five kinds of influencing factors are determined,and the total factor productivity of transportation industry is analyzed by panel regression.The change of total factor productivity of transportation industry is positively affected by transportation infrastructure,regional economy and regional human capital.On the contrary,the growth rate of fixed asset investment and the increase of energy consumption intensity will reduce the total factor productivity of transportation industry and bring negative impact.
