Abundant coal resource was buried in the Ordos Basin,but the hydrogeological condition of mine was becoming more and more complicated with the increase of coal mining depth.The roof water not only threatened underground safe mining,but also caused huge economic losses and casualties.This paper took the deep buried coal mine in Mu Us Desert as an example.It was theoretical basis on sedimentology,hydrogeology,structural geology,mining,geophysics and so on,and was factual basis on field outcrops and drilled cores.Geological prospecting data,coal mine construction and production process to disclose actual data were used to analyze the distribution law of coal seam roof,the characteristics of water rich distribution,the prevention and control of water before and after mining.The results showed as follows:(1)According to field outcrop section,borehole and well logging data,sequence stratigraphic division had been carried out on the Jurassic formation from the 3-1 coal seam to the upper Jurassic formation.The system of drilling and logging in the study area was systematically contrasted by taking the medium term cycle as the basic unit,and the sequence stratigraphic framework of the Jurassic system was established.The sedimentary facies types of Jurassic strata in the study area were divided in detail,and the characteristics of sedimentary facies and the spatial distribution of aquifers were mastered.(2)According to the hydrogeological characteristics of the mine field,the pumping test of drilling and pumping test results,the original water quality evaluation index system of the mine field was established.In consideration of sedimentary environment and the development degree of sandstone in different sedimentary facies,porosity and Ida fault,the Ida water rich zoning was carried out.(3)According to the characteristics of roof aquifer distribution,hydrogeological condition,coal seam mining and overburden failure,the roof aquifer had the characteristics of high water pressure and large water quantity.After mining,the fracture zone of water conduction would spread to the multilayer aquifer,and the peak fluctuation of water inflow will affect mine safety.(4)Under mine transient electromagnetic sounding method and mine audio frequency Perspective were used to determineroofwater rich abnormal area of the first mining face.The roof water drill holes were constructedbased on the sedimentary water content and geophysical results,and roof water pre drainage was carried.(5)In the process of face mining,the water inflow in the goaf increased step by step.The law avoided the large fluctuation of water gushing in the abnormal water rich section and threatening the safe production of the working face.
