The Food Structure Of Mudskippers In Yunxiao Mangrove Area

Yunxiao Mangrove Area are one mangrove forest in Fujian Province,China.This mangrove area dominated by Avicennia marina,Kandelia obovata,Aegiceras corniculatum and invasive Spartina alternitflora.Mangrove is used by some organism as the natural habitat from different fauna in each vegetation.Crabs,mollusk,fish,gastrophod are microfauna living in mangrove ecoystem.Mudskipper is fish from sub phylum Oxudercinae inhabit in mudflat with mangrove vegetated or unvegetated.This fish available to walk,jump,climb on the mud but also can swim on water.The fish sample was conducted from December 2017 until January 2018 and total 4 species of mudskipper was found in Yunxiao Mangrove Area B.pectinirostris,P.magnusspinatus,P.modestus and S.histophorus.The population B.pectinirostris was dominated in Spartina alterniflora vegetated but P.magnusspinatus found in every vegetation.The range of total length of mudskipper in Yunxiao were 2cm-13.5cm while the total weight were 3g-21 g.Mangrove vegetation was not affected to sex of mudskipper found in this fish,but the population of female fish higher than male fish.Stable isotope was used to determine of food web and trophic level of mudskipper in Yunxiao Mangrove Area.The 613C of mudskipper were-22.7‰ to-14.4%o while the?15N value 14.2%o to 17.9‰.Result from analyze of ?15N showed about trophic level in Yunxiao Mangrove Area that the highest was fish.All the fish showed that carnivore because the trophic value(1)more than 3.The activity of mudskipper was affected by season.In winter season mudskipper did not much activity in mudflat surface.They will preffered to stay at their burrow than in out burrow.Mudskipper and mangrove has the strong relationship because this fish spend more its time out of water.The nitrogen value of mudskipper showed that the nitrogen is high in mangrove area.This high valued was affected by enrichment of nutrient to mangrove forest from housing and ponds near the Yunxiao Mangrove Area.The management of mangrove is really needed to protect mangrove area in Yunxiao with the good environment and ecosystem.
