Seed storage proteins are important nutrition source of seed germination and early seedling development.Storage protein muatration is accompanied by its correct transport.Seed storage proteins are synthesized on the rough endoplasmic reticulum(ER)as precursors and then through various channels transported to protein storage vacuole(protein storage vacuole,PSV),where they are processed into muture forms.Stortage proteins transport through vesicle trafficking. Therefore, the functional study of vesicle trafficking is of great significance.Vesicle trafficking includes four steps:budding, movement, tethering, and fusion. These four steps are regulated by many factors, such as Coat,SM,Tether,SNARE,and Rab proteins.SNARE proteins play an essential role in fusion. The formation of the SNARE complex mediated membrane fusion.By bioinformatics prediction in Arabidopsis thaliana,AtUsel is homologous to the yeast Usel.AtUsel and AtUfel,AtSec20,AtSec22 composition of the SNARE complex, which play a role in Golgi to Endoplasmic reticulum retrograde transport process. In this study,we explored the unique function of the AtUsel alternate gene SYP7 family,AtSYP71/72/73 in A.thaliana.In this study we used the modle plant A.thaliana as research matrial, isolated A.thaliana mutants to make the phenotype analysis. At the same time we used biochemistry and molecular biology method to analysis. We found that AtSYP71/72/73 all have direct interaction with AtUfel in vivo.AtSYP72 and AtSYP73 are both lacalize on ER.These suggested that the family of three genes may in the same pathway with AtUfel and AtSec20 in the regulation of storage protein transport. The AtSYP71/72/73 gene deletion did not affect the transport of seed storage proteins, and none of them play a major role in the regulation of plant growth and development.
