More and more organizations adopt the form of team structure,at the same time,the composition of the team is also varied.As we all know,a good team can achieve good team performance and achieve the established goals and tasks effectively.Therefore,team faultline has become an unavoidable problem in team management in china.Many researches have been done on the formation and measurement of team faultlines.However,there is no unified research about the mechanism of team faultlines on team performance.Therefore,the influence mechanism of team faultlines on team performance and how to regulate the impact of team faultlines on team performance have become the focus of scholars and management practices content.Shared goals,as an important factor regulating team failures on team performance,are important for improving team performance.Combing through the existing literature,this paper defines the connotation of team faultlines,team conflict,team performance and shared goals,and constructs the theoretical model.620 valid data were collected through 155 team surveys.By using SPSS20.0 software and hierarchical regression analysis,this paper empirically tests the moderating effects of team faultlines on team performance,as well as the moderating effects of shared goals on these relationships.The empirical test shows that there is a negative correlation between social category faultlines and team performance;team conflict plays an intermediary role in the impact of social category faultlines on team performance;team conflict plays an intermediary role in the impact of information-based faultlines on team performance;the shared goal plays a moderating role in the relationship between social category faultlines and team performance,which shows that the negative impact of social category faultlines on team performance is lower in the team with high shared goals;the shared goal plays a moderating role in the relationship between information-based faultlines and team performance,which shows that the negative impact of information-based faultlines on team performance is lower in the team with high shared goals.According to the result of hypothesis testing,put three suggestions on team management in this paper: to understand of team faultlines correctly;to establish team objectives clear and pay attention to team building;to solve team conflict and achieve democratic decision-making to encourage the free airing of views.
