The Development Present Situation And The Countermeasures Of Small Berries Industry In Shangzhi City

The small berries have a good development prospects in both domestic and foreign markets because of its abundant nutritional value and extremely high health care function.In recent years,the planting area and yield of small berries increased rapidly worldwide.According to the statistics of FAO,the planting area of small berries had an increase of 45.7%and the yield increased by 69.3%in the word.During this period,China's small berries industry has a rapid increase.As the earlier area which has started to plant small berries,the small berries industry in Shangzhi city also has a rapid increase base on its good natural conditions and planting base.Shangzhi has a long history in planting small berries,however,the time of small berries' scale and industrial development is very short.There are many problems during the industrial development process which will affect the sustained and healthy development of small berries industry.On the basis of analyzing the present status of growing,varieties,processing and sales of small berries in Shangzhi City,this study aims to analyze and summarize the primary problems in the development of small berries industry in Shangzhi,and puts forward suggestions and the corresponding countermeasures,in order to solve the existing problems in the small berries industry in Shangzhi effectively,and then promote its rapid and good development.The main research methods include literature analysis,on-the-spot investigation,questionnaire survey and comprehensive analysis.The study comes to conclusion by visiting and conducting questionnaires with farmers,enterprise and agricultural management personnel in Shangzhi,consulting the experts in the research and production of fruit trees,and collating the relevant literature and materials.The conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)Shangzhi City has favorable conditions for small berries industry development,including natural condition,planting base,supportive policy,brand effect,and convenient transportation.(2)The planting area of small berries is continuously increasing in Shangzhi,and the planting area has expanded from 2320 hm2 in 2014 to 6613 hm2 in 2016.The main cultivated species of small berries are raspberry,black currant,strawberry,blue honeysuckle,blueberry and gooseberry.As a key berry species in Shangzhi,the planting area of raspberry has reached to 5000 hm2,occupying 76%of the total area of small berries in Shangzhi and having an increase of 283%over 2014.At present,Shangzhi has 31 small berries processing enterprises.The processing products are mainly frozen fruit,which are exported to Europe,Australia,New Zealand,Russia and other foreign markets.(3)In the small berries industry in Shangzhi city,there are many problems,for example,cultivation techniques of small berries;the cultivated species need to be adjusted,the cultivation of seedlings needs to be regulated urgently;lack of further processing capacity;lack of marketing,and the domestic market don't open;lack of leading enterprises and industry organizations;the pressure from external competition increases;the producing costs of small berries increases.All of the problems above affects the development of small berries industry directly or indirectly.(4)Through analyzing the problems which exist in the small berries industry in Shangzhi city,the suggestions and countermeasures are as follows:promoting the standardization of cultivation of small berries industry;strengthening the introduction and breeding of fine varieties and optimize layout;strengthening scientific and technological support,developing new products,improving the further processing capacity of enterprise;promoting mechanized production;achieving the development of the whole industry chain by the support and import simultaneously;opening up the domestic market,increasing publicity,establishing a modern industrial platform;improving product quality and safety system,establishing product quality traceability system to strengthen the quality of berry production supervision and management.
