With the further development of China's electric power construction, and the wide application of UHV technology, market demand on capacitors in China keeps rising, which makes China market a very important strategic position to all global market players. Shortly, foreign brand, private enterprises, and state-owned enterprises all appears and strive for the market. While with the coming of the economic New Norms, power supply becomes sufficient, the whole society power consumption growth slowed down considerably, and the demand of power quality is increasing, which greatly influence China capacitor market competition pattern. The traditional utility market growth slows down, overcapacity of capacitor industry appears, causing tense to capacitor industry competition. Every player in this market is struggling, including R Capacitor Company. R's market share keeps decreasing, therefore a proper competitive strategy is badly needed to grasp the new opportunity in New Norms, and seek for sustainable development. This is the target of the thesis.This paper is divided into seven chapters, the first and the two is the introduction and the related theory briefing, which introduce the main issue of this paper and the application of the relevant theory. The third chapter and the fourth chapter, through the use of PEST analysis tools, enterprise resource and organizational capabilities theory, and the theory of value chain to make thoroughly analysis on enterprise internal environment, and draw the opportunities and threats faced by the enterprise, and enterprise's own strengths, weaknesses, and core competence; next in the fifth chapter, using SWOT analysis method, comprehensively analyze both the internal and external factors, then combining the enterprise strategy goal and positioning, to make the enterprise competition strategy; the sixth and seventh chapter provides the suggestions on the strategy implementation, then make a summary of the thesis. Hope that through the study of this paper, it can be a valuable reference for R Company on dealing with fierce competition and seeking long-term development.
