With the rapid development of wireless communication, the radio spectrum resources has been increasingly deficient. In the field of satellite communication and microwave communication, development of the key device is more and more important. All kinds of wireless communication components are towards the direction of high-quality,high-working frequency band and high-bandwidth. For the microwave frequencies of RFID technology, the key is the microwave filter which has the central trait of subsize and high bandwidth. The microwave filter in microwave communication system is as the kidney in human body. As the core of system, its role included frequency conversion, frequency doubling and frequency division multiplex communication. Without a doubt the miniaturization of microwave filter process will directly affect the miniaturization of microwave circuit and high integrated technology.This paper summarizes the synthesis theory and design method of microwave filter. The main research object is microstrip bandpass filter through the simulation software HFSS, CoupleFil and so on. This paper mainly discusses the filter of miniaturization structure design and experimental simulation.This paper puts forward three design project of microwave filter, the first one is a new structure of concave and convex ring with the bend-line bandpass coupling filter, the second one called traditional rectangular ring coupling filter is based on the first design, they have the same parameters, this paper makes a detailed comparison on the basis of experimental data, the reason shows advantages of miniaturization and coupling strength about the concave and convex ring coupling filter. And the size of concave and convex ring coupling filter is to reduce the 15.8% than traditional rectangular ring coupling filter. In addition, this paper designs a three cavity insertion coupling filter and illustrated its miniaturization advantage, Especially on the Y axis direction of the filter.
