A Study Of The Impact Of Family Background On Higher Education Enrollment Opportunities

The influence of family background on the entrance opportunity of higher education has been paid more and more attention by domestic and foreign scholars.The research selects the Renmin University of China Chinese comprehensive social survey in 2006,2008,2010,2012 and 2013 data,extract the sample questionnaire relating to gender,residence,provinces,individual education,parents' education level,father's occupation,comprehensive using the methods of literature analysis and statistics.The paper describes the influence of family background factors on the entrance of higher education through the SPSS22.0 statistical software.On the same time,using binary logistic regression model to examine the sample logic regression model.of family background(gender,residence,family economic belt,parents' education level,father's socioeconomic status)effects on the opportunity of higher education and the trend of the individual.The results show that the effect of gender on higher education opportunities of the individual is not significant;non-agriculture accounts for the influence of individual learning into the positive;eastern coastal areas are more likely to get higher education opportunities;the higher the level of education of parents is,the more easily the children go into the university;mother's social economic status has positive influence on children's matriculation opportunity.
