The Original Complex Study In Gauguin's Paintings

Paul Gauguin(1848-1903)is a French post-impressionist painter and sculptor,who is called as one of the three post-impressionist masters,the other two is Van Gogh and Cezanne.All of them had very far-reaching impacts on the development of contemporary painting.Gauguin has a very important position in the history of art because of his remarkable works of art and concepts of painting.In the important transition period of western painting,Gauguin has become one of the founders of the Western modern painting and of the symbolism painting.In his 55 years of life,Gauguin left a lot of classic works for art history,which profoundly influenced modern painting.Because of his important artistic achievements and far-reaching influence,in a very long period of time,Gauguin was paid more attention to research in the art history.On the basis of predecessors' research,using methods of image analysis,literature review,comparative analysis and other disciplinary methods,taking the original plot in Gauguin's painting as the research core,this paper deeply explores the formation reasons of the original plot in his painting,and analyzes the characteristics,and comprehensively elaborates its far-reaching impact.The paper also combs painting experience in Gauguin' s early life---from the stockbroker to the spare-time painter,and then from studying the impressionism to studying techniques of painting beyond the impressionist school,ultimately leaving his home to pursue his own painting dream.Then,it analyzes the characteristics of the original plot in Gauguin painting.First,it includes descriptions concerning a large number of primitive indigenous naked women and mythical stories from the original indigenous inhabitants,together with the application of religion stories of indigenous inhabitants.Second,it introduces the applications of original paintings in Gauguin' s painting,including the simple style of the original murals,the concisely-summarized lines,as well as bright colors in Japanese paintings,and strong sense of decoration.And starting from the influences of the family and Tahiti on the original plot in Gauguin ' s heart,this work draws the conclusion that Tahiti is the paradise of original dream in Gauguin' s heart.At last,the whole text studies the original plot in Gauguin ' s painting,and deeply analyzing artistic concepts of Gauguin' s painting and its influences on the creation of art.The artistic concepts include the deep-rooted original plot and the painting concept of opposing the naturalism.
