Wenxiang's Diplomatic Activities And Thoughts

Wen Xiang is early in the late Qing Dynasty the Qing government put the central Sydney,this time as a politician and diplomat,Wen Xiang since the second Opium War until his death in 1876,participated in a series of major diplomatic activities in Beijing to participate in the negotiations during the second Opium War and the establishment of Yamen maximum effect.Not only that,as a representative of this period enlightened landlord class,Wen Xiang is not inflexible,but to promote active learning from the west,and Prince Gong Yi together become the representatives of the central government in the late Qing Dynasty westernization,plan and participate in the establishment of jingshitongwenguan and camp.Wen Xiang's political career is short,from the value of the military department(1859)until his death(1876)is only a short period of eighteen years,but in this short ten years,Wen Xiang in the decline of national power situation,to maintain a "foreign" and the Council,is the founder of Tongzhi "and Chinese the pioneer of modern diplomacy.This paper is divided into four parts except the conclusion.The introduction part mainly introduces the research origin,research status,the innovative lighting problem;the first part is Wen Xiang family and times of the overview,for after the formation of introduced a series of major foreign activities and diplomatic thought in Wen Xiang made a foreshadowing;the second chapter according to the background discussed by Wen Xiang participate in the Beijing peace negotiation,including Gengshen Tsungli Yamen,established diplomatic activities since the establishment of China and Wen Xiang's diplomatic ideas and reasons;the third chapter set the first two chapters make a evaluation of the important figures in the late Qing Dynasty Wen Xiang,a detailed discussion from three aspects of internal affairs,foreign affairs,Westernization Movement,multiple the image to restore a diplomat in the late Qing dynasty.
