On Eliot's View Of Literary Criticism

Thomas Stearns Eliot(1888-1965) is both an outstanding poet and literary critic of great personality. He turned the perspective of literary criticism into the internal literature, payed attention to literary text, and in the age of lacking faith and spiritual emptiness attempting to use literary tradition and religious perspective to rebuild people's spiritual world. In both literary criticism and creation, he always adhered to the concept of literary criticism of himself, and insisted his own unique sound in the literary history.Eliot's view of literary criticism inspires us to study western literary criticism and provides reference to domestic literary criticism thought.
