Clinical Study Of Kyphoplasty Combined With Fuyuan Huoxue Decoction In The Treatment Of Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures

Objective:The Percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)have definite treatment on osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCFs).However,the fracture is often associated with soft tissue injury,and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of tendon injuries have obvious advantages.The study tries to application of Decoction for Promoting in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures after PKP surgery,by observing the pain relief and improve the function,then provide an new method for the treatment of OVCFs.Methods:At the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,from December 1,2016 to December 1,2017,there are 60 patients who suffered from osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures underwent PKP operation,and they are admitted to be the objects of our research.All of them are more than 65 years old with single segment of the lumbar vertebra compression fracture,and completeness of posterior wall of vertebral body.They are randomly divided into experimental group which is treated with PKP combined with Decoction for Promoting and control group which is treated with PKP.The visual analogue scales(VAS)and the oswestry disability index(ODI)are recorded.The SPSS 20.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data.Results:Two groups of patients with software analysis,X2=0.08,P=0.78>0.05;age analysis,|t|=0.12,P=0.91>0.05;compression of vertebral body parts analysis,X2=0.35,P=0.99>0.05;the degree of compression fracture,X2=0.09,P=0:76>0.05;the VAS score before treatment,|t|=0.51,P=0.61>0.05,and the ODI score before treatment,|t|=0.18,P=0.86>0.05.All data show that the two groups of patients before surgery have no difference.The VAS score comparison:(1)The first day after treatment compared with before treatment,the experimental group|t|=14.55,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=17.13,P=0.00<0,05;and the comparison among groups |t|=1.09,P=0.28>0.05.(2)The 7 days compared with 1 day after treatment,the experimental group |t|=5.19,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=2.15,P=0.04<0.05;and the comparison among groups |t|=2.49,P=0.02<0.05.(3)The 14 days compared with 7 days after treatment,the experimental group |t|=4.49,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=3.25,P=0.00<0.05;and the comparison among groups|t|=3.16,P=0.00<0.05.(4)The 1 month compared with 14 days after treatment,the experimental group |t|=4.47,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=6.55,P=0.00<0,05;and the comparison among groups |t|=0.55,P=0.58>0.05-ODI score comparison:(1)The first days after treatment compared with before treatment,the experimental group |t|=25.31,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=17.45,P=0.00<0.05;and the comparison among groups|t|=0.18,P=0.8>0.05.(2)The 7 days compared with 1 days after treatment,the experimental group |t|=7.64,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=5.81,P=0.00<0.05,and the comparison among groups |t|=2.52,P=0.02<0.05.(3)The 14 days compared with 7 days after treatment,the experimental group |t|=14.36,P=0.00<0.05;the control group |t|=13.36,P=0.00<0.05;and the comparison among groups |t|=3.09,P=0.00<0.05.(4)The 1 months compared with 14 days after treatment,the experimental group |t|=17.03,P=0.00<0.05;the control group|t|=8.55 and P=0.00<0.05;and the comparison among groups |t|=1.06,P=0.29>0.05.Conclusion:PKP has an definite effect treatment on osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.Decoction for Promoting which has application for many years has a good effect in the treatment of pain after fracture of bones.The Percutaneous kyphoplasty combined with Decoction for Promoting is simple and safe in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.It can effectively and quickly relieve pain,which is an effective method for the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures with combination of TCM and Western medicine,and is worthy of clinical application.
