Objective: To investigate the related factors of plasma NT-pro BNP higher(or lower)in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: A total of 81 participants with type 2 diabetes and 30 healthy persons have been enrolled in the trial. The patients with type 2 diabetes were divided int-o 2 groups according to their Hb A1 c level,Hb A1c<9.0% group(n=51),Hb A1c≥9.0% group(n=30),and healthy group(n=30).NT-pro BNP and the related biochemical indexes were measured in all groups. Results: The levels of NT-proBNP and HOMA-β in HbA1c<9.0% group and Hb A1c≥9.0% group were lower than those in healthy group which indicated statistical significance(P<0.01),[(2.01±0.56)vs(1.83±0.23),(1.65±0.24)pg/ml],[(3.91±0.18)vs(3.72±0.29),(3.41±0.30)],The levels of FPG in Hb A1c<9.0% group and Hb A1c≥9.0% group were higher than those in healthy group which indicated statistical significance,(P<0.01),The pearson correlation analysis showed that NT-pro BNP was negatively correlated with FPG 、 Hb A1 c 、 body mass index(BMI)and HOMA-IR(r=-0.281,-0.279,-0.332,-0.233,P<0.05,respectively).There was no correlation between the NT-pro BNP and HOMA-β(r=0.17,P>0.05)A multivariate analysis revealed that the plasma NT-pro BNP level was positively correlated with age,and inversely correlated with the body mass index and HbA1c(P<0.05).Conclusion: The plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide may participate in the regulation of blood glucose, the level of NT-pro BNP in patients with type 2 diabetes was decreased and inversely correlated with the body mass index and HbA1c. |
