The purpose of this study is to clearly define corporate social responsibility(CSR)and creating shared value(CSV),which are being settled down as new economic systems and highlighted worldwide, based on their concepts. The market system in capitalism was instable, and accordingly many people asked the government and companies for active attitudes. The corporate charity work and philanthropic activities came to the limit, and many countries and scholars argued that this problem could be resolved through the coexistence of companies and society.Since then, lots of companies and countries have taken this argument into consideration, and China is even strictly evaluating companies including its multinational corporations in Korea. However,as the limit of CSR has been found, most countries including America and Korea are replacing CSR with CSV.The concept of CSV has evolved from that of CSR.CSV was officially announced by Michael Porter from Harvard Business School and FSG's co-founder Mark Kramer in 2011.While SCR is for companies to share the pie,CSV is for them to grow the pie together. Thus, the biggest difference between the two is ‘the difference of value'.The core concept of CSV is ‘Consumers, companies, and the government all seek the same value'.This study will closely examine the present state of the theoretical development of Michael Porter's CSV and his activities in Korea and other countries, and learn the companies living together with local communities through CSV activities, and the future-oriented businesses that each country does for their people..In addition, this study will discuss in detail prediction and tasks of CSV by integrating the latest economic systems and theories.
